Companies have attached much importance to the sustainability concept for quite some time now. Even if the term is being used rather excessively, there is no alternative for companies than to position themselves.
It is therefore important for companies to deal with the relevant issues of their business activities and to shape sustainable change. Companies feel it necessary to assume responsibility and want to credibly signal to their stakeholders: “We have understood – and act accordingly“.
The holistic and practice-oriented ZNU Standard – driving sustainable change, which has been developed by the ZNU – Center for Sustainable Leadership, Witten/Herdecke University, together with TÜV Rheinland as the first standard for all retailers and manufacturers, has been tackling the above-mentioned problems since 2013. By now companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Nagel Group, Bitburger Braugruppe, Ritter Sport and many more have used the ZNU Standard – driving sustainable change to proactively develop their existing management systems further towards sustainable leadership.
